The Hop-On Hop-Off Open top bus is a great way to see Cardiff, with 11 stops in great locations across the city. You can purchase a ticket, Hop-On and Hop-Off at your own leisure spending as much time in each location as you wish.
There is a stop for the Hop-On Hop-Off bus less than 5 minutes walk from Tyn Y Parc! This is a highly recommended way to see Cardiff.
Wales Millenium Centre hosts many events, from plays, Live music to musicals, there is always something going on in Wales Millenium Centre. Only 5 minutes walk from Tyn Y Parc.
The Red Dragon Centre is a large indoor entertainment venue hosting a large Odeon iMAX cinema, bowling alleys a casino and a Gym. The Red Dragon Centre is the home to Capital Radio in Wales. There’s also plenty of places to eat in the Red Dragon Centre too!
Not for the faint hearted, take a trip out on a speed boat across Cardiff Bay and into the Bristol Channel after venturing through Cardiff Bay Barrage. We recommended the 1 hour Coastal and Island tour and booking in advance.
Take a stroll through Cardiff Bay Wetlands Reserve, situated behind St Davids Hotel (5 minutes walk from Tyn Y Parc). Learn about the wildlife in Cardiff Bay and how the ecosystem of the area has changed since the Cardiff Bay Barrage was created.
Cardiff Bay Barrage is perfect for a relaxing walk or Bike ride, Explore the Barrage embankments parks and views or do the whole Cardiff Bay Trail, you can start at Tyn Y Parc and Finish at Tyn Y Parc. It’s a 10Km (6.2 miles) long circular trial ideal with both walkers and cyclists.
Aquabus offer trips around Cardiff Bay from Mermaid Quay and even a shuttle between Mermaid Quay and Cardiff Castle every hour.
Techniquest is a science discovery centre in less than 5 minutes walk from Tyn Y Parc. Perfect all ages and makes a great fun afternoon out!
